Welcome Jada Mylan Smith!

Please join us in welcoming Jada Mylan Smith (Dementia Care Aware Data Analyst) to the Division of Geriatrics!

Jada started this morning and will be joining the DCA team as their new Data Analyst.  Jada graduated from CSU East Bay with a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science & Art degree in Mathematics, and has a background in project management, data science and research, mathematics, and instructional curriculum design.  She was most recently a Data Management Specialist for the Career Path Development Group where she analyzed and organized data, led systematic integration and utilization of CPD's website and associated tools including data auditing, cleansing, and alignment to ensure accurately informed participant accounts.  Jada is also a Co-Founder & CFO of Jasiri Coder LLC, where she facilitates and manages all content for training sessions, set up schedules, manage parent payments, and instruct various mathematical topics and courses including college level.  Last but not least, she was (is) a Programs Instructor for Diablo Valley College, where she oversees and provides instruction for assigned classrooms.  She also authors mathematics and statistical material using learning design systems to analyze student improvement.

In her new role as Data Analyst, Jada’s primary functions include data abstraction and maintenance, program coordination, as well as reporting and analyses.  She will also work closely with the Director of Strategy (Clara Park, MPH) and other program staff to actively participate in DCA project planning and development, which may also include coordinating and maintaining project timelines and deliverables with focus groups and interviews.  Jada comes to us with a high level of technical experience, and we’re really excited to work with her.  She will be stationed at the Mission Bay Office once a week (usually on Tuesdays with the DCA team) and can be reached at [email protected].  Her workstation will be cubicle # 8114.  If you’re in the office, please do swing by and say hello!  Welcome Jada, we’re so happy to have you join the team!
