Alexandra Lee, PhD

Assistant Professor of Medicine

Alexandra Lee, PhD, MSPH, is a researcher studying diabetes in aging populations to inform and improve clinical decision-making. As a PhD epidemiologist, her research aims to quantify the risks and benefits of treatments and interventions in heterogeneous older populations and develop metrics to guide diabetes treatment decisions.

Dr. Lee is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Geriatrics within UCSF's School of Medicine. She completed her BA at Amherst College, her MSPH in Epidemiology at Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University, and her PhD in Cardiovascular and Clinical Epidemiology at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She also completed a post-doctoral fellowship in aging research with the UCSF Division of Geriatrics.
