Bay Area Older Adult Community Resource of the Week – Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center (BHNC)
This week’s Geri Community Resource is: Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center (BHNC).
The Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center (BHNC) offers free weekly groceries through its Brown Bag Program every Thursday for San Francisco residents ages 60 and over. Qualifying seniors may also receive a monthly food box through the federal Commodity Supplemental Food Program. In addition, BHNC distributes non-perishable food items on the second Saturday of each month. This program helps ensure older adults have access to nutritious food and vital community support.
