Bay Area Older Adult Community Resource of the Week – Groceries for Seniors

This week’s Geri Community Resource is: Groceries for Seniors.

Groceries for Seniors is a free pantry program that delivers grocery bags to over 1,000 older adults each week. The food comes from the SF Marin Food Bank, which supplies up to seven pallets every Monday and Wednesday morning. These pallets include fresh fruit, seasonal vegetables, dry goods, rice, pasta, and a protein such as fish, chicken, or eggs.

Each grocery bag typically contains dairy, deli items, bakery goods, produce, and household essentials. For more information, visit their website: https://groceriesforseniors.org.
