Alexandra Lee and Sei Lee Publish Editorial in JAGS

Alexandra Lee, PhD, MSPH and Sei Lee, MD, MAS recently published an editorial in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society (JAGS) titled “All Hypoglycemia Is Not Created Equal.” The editorial explores the interpretation of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) in older adults, highlighting that CGM-detected hypoglycemia below 70 mg/dL may not always represent the pathologic, iatrogenic hypoglycemia clinicians commonly fear. Instead, some episodes may be benign incidental findings resulting from around-the-clock glucose monitoring.
