Bay Area Older Adult Community Resource of the Week

This week's "Bay Area Older Adult Community Resource of the Week", we'd like to feature San Francisco Village!

The San Francisco Village (SFV) is a non-profit, membership organization led by older adults who share their expertise to navigate the challenges and opportunities of aging with the vision to alleviate isolation and promote healthy aging.  SFV connects seniors via neighborhood circles based on zip codes.  Volunteers provide the following support: housekeeping, cooking, walking companions, weekly buddy talks, transportation to appointments, medication pick-ups,  home modifications,  pet care, garden clean up, before and after hospitalization care, and meal preparation.  In addition, SFV offers various workshops and classes.

There is a sliding scale membership for a monthly fee choice of $10, $25, or $50.
