Carla Perissinotto Awarded Dr. Francis J. Curry Award

Carla Perissinotto, MD MHS will be receiving the Dr. Francis J. Curry Award tonight from the Curry Senior Center for her work on assessing Curry's efforts on the effects of loneliness and isolation. Six years ago Curry Senior Center received funding for a pilot program to see whether peer-based social support would have an effect on reducing isolation, and improving health among elderly people who live alone. Evaluating the impact of such an intervention involves diligence and painstaking research.
