Janice Schwartz organized symposia and presented at AGS Annual Meeting

Janice B. Schwartz, MD organized the symposia chaired by Joe Ouslander, MD entitled:   “Evaluation of New drugs: a changing landscape for older adults and diverse population” on Friday May 4, 2023.  She spoke on the “Current Status of Inclusion of Older Groups in Evaluations of new medical therapies: the Gaps and the Opportunities and summarized the past gaps and the new legislation to try and close these gaps.  The session also included a summary of the NASEM recommendations by Sharon Inouye, MD, MPH, the view of the FDA by Robert Temple, and of international colleagues representing IUPHAR (Sarah Hilmer, MBBS, PhD) , and the European Medical Society (Antonio Cherubini, MD, PhD).
