Welcome Yinan Su!

Please join us in welcoming Yinan Su, Project Coordinator, to the Division!

Yinan started yesterday and will be joining Dr. Louise Aronson’s team alongside Share Vuong to support the Adult and Senior Care Program Provider Informational Calls project funded by the California Department of Social Services (CDSS).  Yinan will be with us through June before she takes off for medical school!  Yinan graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Neuroscience and has already been accepted to medical school for matriculation this fall.  Yinan worked as a Medical Assistant for Comprehensive Dermatology in Pasadena where she coordinated patient care, assisted with surgeries and other procedures and documented diagnoses and treatment plans.  She was also an Instructor for Shaukat Initiative, where she developed a curriculum for high school students from underserved communities regarding social issues, ethics, and science surrounding food and nutrition.  She was also a Research Assistant for Hirsch Lab, and a Recruitment Coordinator for Cope Health Scholars (and I must add that these positions were overlapping, in addition to attending school for her Bachelor degree!)  Yinan has kept busy for sure!  Before attending medical school in the fall, Yinan decided to seek a short-term opportunity to gain a broader perspective in health research and to enrich her work experience, thus, she was perfectly paired with Dr. Aronson’s CDSS project!

In her new role as Project Coordinator, Yinan will help wrangle and train multiple stakeholders, draft PowerPoint presentations and other project material, as well as manage and coordinate Zoom calls/webinars.  She can be reached at [email protected].  Welcome Yinan!
